Hi MaxPower 2U nation! Today we want to discuss the topic of advertisements. In the world we live in today we are bombarded by advertisements on a daily basis, whether that be from billboards, tv, radio, Internet, sports venues, buses and now even movie theaters. No matter where you go, advertisements are inescapable and unavoidable.
Despite this fact, what you do and how you react to them is very important to your future success. As much as many of us feel that they have little to no effect on us, the advertising gurus would beg to differ.
Advertising companies have been hiring psychologists and sociologists for years now because they know the real effect it has on the public. They know the subconscious effect it has on people and rely on the knowledge and experience of these experts so that people are swayed in to buying their products, or at least discuss them with others.
Regardless of how aware you are of this or how much you try and avoid exposure to advertisements, they do and will continue to influence your subconscious mind. Not giving your power away to them and letting them have control over you is something you can can do something about though.
Living within your means is a crucial part of not giving in to the influences of constant exposure to more and more creative ways of getting you to buy something you don't need. Reminding yourself on a daily basis, using affirmations, and creating a budget chart are all great ways of programming your brain to ward off the pressures and temptations of advertising. But these should be tools that you utilize everyday of your life, if not, you will find it continuously difficult to break the grasp that advertising can have on you.
That alone will not do the trick however. Controlling your exposure to the images and sounds of advertising will also be crucial. Whether it be watching less tv, avoiding certain streets with lots of advertisement, or cutting down on your internet usage, you must make a conscious effort to give your mind less exposure to the coercion and manipulation tactics of the advertising companies.
It is all a bit of a game of strategy, but it will make a world of difference in the way you live and enjoy your life. Making your urges less intense to buy or be influenced to want to buy something will lead you to refocus all of that energy to more productive and cost effective ways to give you the rush that you once used as a recourse for thrills and happiness.
Just remember, you have more control over what influences your actions and thoughts, and this is what will truly lead you to reach a life of everlasting abundance and success. If you don't believe this to be true, then you will forever be a slave to the men pulling the strings at the advertising companies.
With that said,
"Put a little MaxPower in your life!"
