Aren't we all teachers to some degree?
Interesting word degree, because we all hope and wish that our children receive a degree or certificate of some kind.
We want to have our children and our family and friend's children pursue a career path which will give them opportunities and possibilities so that they can continue to sustain themselves financially!
How about socially and emotionally? Are we concerned about our children's emotional well being and their adjustment to certain situations along their journey of life?
Of course we are, that is why we take the time to listen to them, get to know their inner passions, their fears, their desires, their dreams and what makes them feel loved and appreciated! That is why we take the time to share in their creativity, their adventures, or their drive to want to make the world a better place.
Yes, we want them to earn a degree, but most of all, we want them to know that they are special just because and that no amount of trophies or money is needed to prove that.
For those who love Christmas, I truly am convinced, that they love it for the feelings it gives them when giving to others.
Can Christmas really give feelings, or is it the thoughts we associate to a holiday based on focusing on family and friends?
If we think about it, most of us get caught up in the spirit of giving. We want to make sure we get exactly what we think might make those we love smile and happy! Yes, of course some of us wonder what we will receive, but for the most part, it's about giving!
Giving is also the last word in the word forgiving! When we give ourselves the gift of letting those things that have hurt you go, we give ourselves a sense of peace and harmony that can empower you and those around you to do the same!
Giving is the greatest gift of Love!!
With Love and Merry Xmas!
A wise person once said that if the only virtue we learned was gratitude, all the others would bloom from the sheer notion that we are thankful for everything. Yes, everything in our lives, even the negative things as well as the positive.
The negative or tragic experiences in our lives can have devastating consequences on our psyche, but they can also remind us that we are mortal and spiritual beings that dwell in a human body. Every day, we are experiencing the power of the universe and we are given the opportunity to think any which way we wan to think about what we experience in life.
With the XMas Holidays upon us, let us be thankful for one another and let us also be mindful that many need a smile, a hug, or an ear to be listened to. It is the gift that keep on giving when we are grateful for everything and everyone in our lives and in this world.
