When you deny the inner beauty of your own unique creation, you deny the essence of your whole being. By denying, we mean comparing or wanting to be like someone who you are not. Trying to be who you're not, takes a lot of energy and it isn't healthy to your soul. I once heard it said that if you deny who you are, " it is like being deliberately violent toward yourself" because it is the ultimate act of self betrayal.
How do you know when you are not being true to yourself? Well, it can be tricky, but deep inside you will know. At some point in your life, especially when you have amassed a large bank account, prestige, and power and you're still not happy, you will look deep inside and realize that there is more to you than the type of life society felt that you should be living. How long does it take? Well, some people may discover the need to be true to themselves early in their lives and others, well they don't ever or until they are too far along in their years. It doesn't mean that it's too late, but change can be slower. For some people, it usually takes a devastating life experience, like death of a loved one, that slaps them into reality and then they re-assess.
If you live to keep up with what other people have, do, or act like, then you know that you need validation from society. But if you follow your own passion and you live from a life of purpose and service, then you know that you aren't denying your inner true essence.
With that said, "Put a little MaxPower into your life!"
