Do you think change is a bad thing in people's minds? I often wonder what people think about this topic. I even wonder if they'll even read this blog because it contains the word Change.
Yet there are those that are forced to change before they run out of time! They've let themselves get too deep into something intensely negative and it's become very hard to make that climb out of it. I saw my own father struggle with pains in his extremities because he wasn't willing to change his habits. He was diagnosed as a diabetic, but he loved food as many do and he resisted change until the bitter end. It plainly almost paralyzed him, making him struggle to walk or even dress himself.
Why did he resist change so much even at the expense of his own life? What is it that grabs us and keeps us from straying too far from who we think we are? Bob Proctor, a well known mind teacher, said "If we know what are paradigms are and how they are formed, we can work to change them!" I wanted to know what paradigms are so I studied them further. They are ultimately the beliefs that we have about ourselves which keep us true to how we do things. They are ultimately responsible for how we see, believe, and act in this world. It's like having a re-occurring program running and looping inside of our subconscious mind. It is all those thoughts that you choose to listen to most of the time when it comes down to making critical choices and decisions in life. Like the food you prefer, the way you dress, the car you drive, how much money you earn, the job you get, the spouse that you choose, the stores that you shop in, the music you listen to, and on and on.... All of this magical info is keeping you true to who you believe you are!
It is no wonder then that when people see the word Change, they usually associate something painful with it and immediately move away from it because of the fear that they have inside their mind.
So can we change our paradigms, our habits? Of course we can, but hopefully you will be open to it before its too too late and you run out of time.
With that said, "Put a little MaxPower into your life!"
