Happy Fathers Day to everyone that can wearAnd fill those shoes! I'm inspired by my privilege and passion to be a positive, effective, caring, loving, and a real role model for my children. It is the true essence of unconditional love which keeps me focused on the goal and on the prize! I am worthy and accept that I can wear and fill that role because I am connected spiritually to a higher Source which we call Divine, God, Allah, Yaweh, Dios, and I Am!
But let me be perfectly clear- I am not, nor have I ever claimed to be perfect! I believe that because we are human, we will make mistakes along the way toward our growth of being a reliable father. As a parent, you Probably know what I'm talking about. There may be some negative and self serving things that you know you shouldn't be doing because it takes away from positive energy that you can give your family, but you tend not to be able to stop! Then One Day- BOOM- something or someone in life smacks you right in the face and you change everything in order to honor your family and do right by them! This is usually the normal process for those who have a healthy and stable conscious. Most people will adjust and modify their behaviors because we recognize that our behaviors if continued, will have huge negative consequences on the lives that we are responsible for.
Unfortunately for some due to their psychoses or mental instability, they aren't able to make this connection and continue to behave in a way which is detrimental to their children and families. They may talk about being connected to God or being spiritual, but it's just words that helps them continue to create the mishaps in their lives.
This is where We know that sometimes we have to step in for that child or children, and even for the spouse! It is where the true "It Takes a Village" actions come from. We step in unconditional to soothe some of the pain in the hopes that their parents get better or in the hope that the child does not repeat the negative behaviors of their parents. Don't be afraid to step in and give a simple hello, a hug, a caring pat on the back, a piece of cake, a smile, a caring look, a t-shirt, a toy, a word of advice, a simple "you matter", a simple "you can do it", a genuine "You are special", and most of all "I Love You!" Believe me, it goes a very very long way! It re-lights the flame of hope in people's soul- it did mine!
So thank you for those who stepped in for me- I am honored to pay it forward!
With that said, "Put a little MaxPower into your life!"
