Getting Back To Love!
Two days ago I asked the question, What gives you hope?"
"With Respect and Love to Those who were affected by the senseless acts of violence today!"
What gives me hope today, is that I have a renewed sense of purpose in wanting to share helpful knowledge and skills that I have acquired over many years of working with people in a counseling capacity or learning from mentors to help others better understand themselves and why they do the things they ultimately choose to do!
Humans either move toward pleasurable events or move away from painful events that they face in life! The "how" they move is the key question!
How do you proceed toward love when all you know is hate? How do you trust when you were brought up by maltreatment and learned to mistrust? How do you share, when you've never had much? The list can grow and many people have quarreled thoughts about those things on a daily repetitive loop in their mind.
This constant loop of mostly irrational thoughts can play havoc on one's mind depending on the environment, level of intoxication, or stress levels! There is no doubt that this has happened to me and I have had to develop a coping mechanism!
I had to figure out A way to flush all the toxic thinking and replace it with enduring high tech performing thoughts if I wanted to survive! Was it hard to do so at times? You bet skippy! But people from the community who showed me love made my days bearable! They would add coins to my hopeometer as author Maime McCullough described it! The more love I got from people, the stronger my hopeometer gauge would read! To give hope is to give life- and I truly believe we can Get Back to Love! With that said, "Put a little MaxPower into your life!"
With Love always,
