The Holidays is usually a time when many of us tend to think more about our loved ones! The loved ones that we have with us, those who have left this earth, and those that have been upset with us and have distanced themselves from us for whatever the reason.
It can definitely be a roller coaster of emotions for many of us. A good friend shared the story of how she was adopted and for over 45 years, she has wondered whether or not to reach out to her biological family. Every XMas, she has had a heavy heart knowing that there could be a family member that she had that might need her love and vice versa. Her main fear is being rejected, but she is getting closer to taking that risk.
You are so blessed to have your family near you if you do- and if you don't and they're still around, we encourage you to find a way to try and connect for the right reasons! Family is our heart- our center in which we get our power from! Yes- even if they aren't biological family members, but have been there just like one! Family is where the heart lives and thrives!
The following poem was inspired by a good friend of Joseph's! It was an honor to write such a moving tribute and about an unbreakable bond.
Daddy- if I had a chance to tell you that I Love You One More Time in person- I most definitely would in a daughter's heartbeat
I know that you love me because I see and feel you even as you drive my truck down the street
I know without a doubt that you miss me lots -and maybe you even think there was more that you could have done
I heard her crying and calling out for me day in and day out
My spirit and soul immediately left me after the tragedy, but my body just wanted to scream and shout
From the agony of knowing that she was out there all alone without me to hold her close
To dry her tears, kiss her cheeks and blow her stuffy nose
I know that maybe God may have not wanted it this way, but If you think about it-who are we to ask anyway?
Daddy- I am always with you and I want you to know that I am never going to stop loving and missing you immensely
I know you will understand and get through this because you created the special unbreakable bond between you and me that will last through eternity
You'll see-it will be much much better when we are together once again where I can tell you "I Love You" and walk with you hand in hand
But for now, daddy please hold on to me in your heart- and don't stop living- live to your fullest potential because I'm proud of who you are!!!
I Love and Miss you Daddy!!!
With that said, "Put a little MaxPower into your life!"
