Who do you rely on? It's a question that most of us should be able to answer rather quickly. It is someone whom we love and trust unconditionally. Someone who believed we can do it on our own!
Unfortunately, there are far too many that become too reliant on someone or something and it leads to uncomfortable and even damaging life experiences.
Let's explain, think of someone that you appreciate a ton because you've relied on them in a positive, empowering, and grateful way. But why were they such a powerful influence in your life? For the most part, they probably allowed you to recognize the can do ability in yourself, they guided you when you thought you couldn't do it and when you fell, they dusted you off and got you back on track!
On the other side of the coin, can you think of a way in which we tend to rely too much on someone or something and it can become a major problem? I'm pretty sure that most of us know someone who relies too heavily on their mom/dad, spouse, club, sister/brother, friends, and even others! Do we see this as healthy? Absolutely not, especially if parents are bailing them out of prison for the third time! How about someone who relies way too much on pain killers, marijuana, alcohol, food, violence, video games, sports shows and the list can go on! Do you think that they have a balance or have a sense of their own personal power if they rely on those things to get them by, help them cope or get the edge off? Heck no!! How much respect do people like this get? Little to none if we get serious!
The most important part of life is to discover your inner power and believe in your power in order to rely mostly on yourself! Yes, there will always be people there to lift you up, but become someone that can lift someone else up too just in case they take a terrible fall! Learn to empower yourself and take control of your greatness in order to have anything in life that you attract to yourself, but never depending on anything or anyone too much!
With that said, "Put a little MaxPower into your life!"
