Hi MaxPower 2U nation! Today's topic is about music. Music is the thing that inspires, motivates, moves, and makes us all cry, smile and feel joy. Music impacts us all in a very profound way, filling our souls and bodies with stress relief and comfort.
Regardless of what music means to each and every one of you, it is nonetheless a driving force in your MaxPower journey.
Many a people have credited music as their inspiration to create art, do good deeds, workout, get up and dance and so many other things. For so
many, music is the thing that adds flare and flavor in to their lives. Including us here at MaxPower 2U!
Music is a great tool to add drama and suspense in movies. And what would so many of our films be without it? They wouldn't have the same impact and inspiration in our lives.
And what is music without the people that make it so. There is no music without the musicians, the instrument makers, composers, improvisers, producers and more. And although music is born and lives inside each and every one of us, it's only made so by the outward expression of what you are feeling inside. If no person were to have ever expressed the things that lived inside them, music would not be alive today.
Our point in discussing the topic of music is for all of you to evaluate the music you are listening to and think about how it affects it.
Believe it or not, the music we listen to makes us think and act in certain ways. This may seem obvious to all of you, but just stop and think about the clothes you wear, to the things you say, or the car you drive. Has music made an influence in you choosing those things-most likely they have.
To explain further, we will bring up the phenomenon of athletes and sports teams that are introduced and walk in to music playing. Most of the time the purpose of the music is to amp up, motivate, inspire, focus and/or create a sense of invincibility for them. Depending on the volume, words, beat, and speed of the music, it has a very different effect on every athlete, but one thing remains constant-music is utilized to manipulate the mind to prepare itself for something that for some will require aggression and lots of adrenaline.
Yes, music is also used is make them relax, dance or just plain smile from the joy it brings them, but the point is that it is also used in introductions because common knowledge is that music can help better prepare a person for sport and competition, even battle.
So why do we bring this up? Because we want you to evaluate the way your music influences you in your life and whether it is in any way helping or hindering your path to success. In other words, are you becoming the music to the point where the music rather than your life's success is the focal point.
In no way are we saying to stop listening to your favorite music or change your music preferences. The message we are trying to get across today in this blog is that we must all be conscious of the ways our music is influencing us and whether it's what we consider to be appropriate for our journey to success.
We want you to use music, as we do, to add more soul and flavor to your life. We just want you to be very mindful of how it might also become a hinderance or detriment in it.
Because if listening to your favorite music is having you drain your bank account to go to a show, or if you're glorifying and condoning some of the negative aspects of it leading to strained relationships and job stability, you must re-evaluate your need for it in your life.
So go out and have fun, dance, jump, spin, shake, smile, laugh, cry, and make love to your favorite music, just don't let yourself be lead off the MaxPower path because your music made it seem like a good idea. Your success and happiness depend on it!
