Life will knock us down- that's a guarantee, even with acts of terror.
My heart and prayers go out to the residents of Boston and to the world because I know that many minds were rattled in a highly negative way yesterday!
It is unthinkable to have to wrap your mind around another senseless act of brutality, especially where you least expect it. Of course it's our choice to watch the news and or pictures of what has happened, but when it comes to public safety- we are gonna watch! People instinctively want to know the signs, the red flags, who caused this and why so that they can be more cautious on their journey of life! Where else is this going to happen they may ask? Will it happen to me, my friends, my family, colleagues, and so on! What happened to our sense of safety and innocence?
I'm angry like many people that we feel that our innocence has been high jacked and I hope that America wakes up about the mental state of its people.
There is always a cause and effect to the atrocities that we are witnessing in terms of mental effect. It does something to us psychologically and many of us interpret it in our own unique ways. The scary part- if you think about it- is that for those who needed a bit more confidence to carry out such acts, probably just got a little more confident. It's almost a reminder that it wasn't just about guns- it's about the mental state of a person that makes them disregard human life! Kids- why would anyone want to harm others, let alone kids?!!
America needs to look at the over all picture of what is happening and admit that many people are on edge! There is a ton of resources that can be deployed to help every school get funding for a full time counselor, a community counseling center, a nationwide counseling program!
I believe Americans and every person on this Earth are worth it! Or we can sit back and wait to see or hear about the next terror attack!
With that said, "Put a little MaxPower into your life!"
