Hi MaxPower 2U nation! Today's blog is about the patterns that we at times live by in our lives. Some of those patterns often keep us structured and organized, but then there are those patterns that we repeat that often lead us to undesirable outcomes. These are the type of patterns that should be broken.

Many of us all have a pattern of behavior that we repeat, despite knowing or admitting that it's hindering us, yet we continue to practice it. Whether it be using crash diets frequently expecting immediate results and never achieving them, or doing the minimum amount of necessary effort many times to complete a task and still expecting a quality result.

We all have patterns of behavior that are not delivering the dose of happiness we wanted them to give us. And these are the type of patterns that can and will draw you further away from reaching your MaxPotential!

How to break them, or at least in the short term how to manage them, is a process that although at times is demanding, will help to give you the tools to putting your success on a faster track once again.

The main thing to helping you break you detrimental patterns of behavior is by writing them down and creating an action plan for your desired goals. You may also speak them to others as another approach that can be in addition to writing them down, or you can also use it as the main approach if writing might not so much be your thing or something you're comfortable with.

Regardless of what approach you choose works best for you, you must have established goals and desired outcomes so that you may start the process of reprogramming your current paradigm view in your mind.

Your desired goals and outcomes should eventually take on a form of their own in which you will frequently be reminded of what they are and what you are working towards.

For example, apart from writing or speaking your goals, you want to get creative in the way you remind yourself about what you are working towards. If you are writing them down, you can put them down on post its in your home, office, car, etc., as well as writing them in your phone or creating a poster.

If you are speaking them you can be just as creative. You can share your goals with someone else and have them repeat them back to you practicing saying them a few times over and over again to each other, or you can repeat them out loud to yourself on your drive to work, office or on a walk as well.

Whatever you can come up with in order to have your mind see your goals everyday as many times as possible, will help you be well on your way to breaking the undesired pattern of behavior.

So go out there and get creative with your goals, it's the best pattern to have.

With said,

"Put a little MaxPower in your life!"
