Hi MaxPower 2u nation! Today's blog is called self care. As all of you know, this world is very demanding, stressful and hectic. And despite how hard working, dedicated and great you are at your job, one thing will always stay the same-you must make certain that you make the right amount of time for self care. Now this may look different for everyone, but the fact still remains-self care is vital in sustaining, maintaining and appreciating yourself. If you are a person that does little to no self care, then you are probably wound so tight you are a ticking time bomb. Most self care takes only a few min or seconds a day. All other aspects of self care are more time intensive, but they all have the same purpose-to reinvigorate, reenergize and refuel you everyday. Some examples of self care that take only a few moments of your time a day can be done right at your workplace. Things as simple as taking a long deep breath, closing your eyes for a few seconds and just listening to the rythym of your body, stretching, drinking a large glass of water, meditation, going for walk, etc. Doing some of these things on a daily basis will ensure that you are able to remain focused and ready for the task at hand. Simple practices such as those will help to not only lower your stress level, but also relax your nerves. Because we live in a world where stress hinders so many peoples performance and overall energy, these simple practices will help put back that vigor in your life. Doing these things alone will do wonders for you, but when you couple them with an added self care piece, it will take your mind, body and spirit to a MaxPower level! Things such as running, hiking, power walking, bicycling, going to the gym, massage, acupuncture, yoga, traveling, swimming, etc., can help reinvigorate you even further. Whether it be alone or with a friend, any physical activity that you do that releases energy and relieves stress is great, and more importantly, healthy, for you. In the end, in order to reach your Maxpotential and live a life of everlasting abundance, you must have a regimen of self care. There is no need for it to be strenuous or tedious. Keep it fun and make it an enjoyable practice. And by keeping this practice in motion, you're assured a life of fun, laughter, and Maxpotential.
