Visualization Meditation - Be seated, lying down or leaning up comfortably against something. Outside in nature or by trees is the suggested practice. Close your eyes and just take a slow deep breath. Take one more and really feel this one and enjoy it. Do it one more time and really try to take this one in and enjoy how good and refreshing it feels to breathe. Now just breathe slowly and really try to relax, but not so much you want to fall asleep. Just try and enjoy how good it feels to breathe taking in every soothing breath. Smile if you have to, or even chuckle, but don’t lose control or focus. Stay focused on breathing and enjoying it-a lot.
Now start thinking about the last thing that made you laugh, smile, or make you feel good. Think about it until it feels like it’s happening to you again. Live that experience again-try to even to put a twist on it by doing something else than you had done before. Something that if you had done would’ve made you feel even better than you did the first time you did it. Feel what it smells like. Feel what it sounds like. Hear what the sounds are around you and where they are coming from. Feel the air on your skin. Feel it on your face and your arms, even in your hair. Walk around and look at the people around you. Try to control what you say and do as you walk by them. You are in control. Smile as you walk around and notice how great everything feels. Walk confidently and feel the ground on your feet. Etc-This is just one example. There will be more to come.
