What would you do if you suspected that someone you loved was using illegal drugs? What if it was an immediate family member? Would you tell someone if you had a strong feeling that they might be using drugs based on information that led you to be believe that they had many of the signs that they were?
Well our main character, Josh, in our new book "Blazing Eyes: A Brother's Suspicion" did just that. He saw that his brother's behavior had rapidly change from one day to the next. At first, he thought that his brother Jimmy was just tired or sick, but his suspicions grew bigger after he learned about the signs of drug use at a school assembly. He was faced with the decision to alert someone fast because he had witnessed a kid being taken by the police at school for selling drugs while his mom wept outside the principal's office. He hated to think that that could happen to his brother and he decided to entrust a couple of people about his concerns. The meat of the story is about how these people that he had entrusted played a major role in assisting him to resolve the issue. Turns out that his suspicions were right and that his brother needed help. You may have your strong opinions about drug use, but from the surveys that we've conducted and studied, it is a documented fact that most teens turn to drugs to self medicate due to not having a better coping way for dealing with, handling, or understanding the madness they can be going through or it can even be perceived! Many get involved due to other factors of course, but it can be categorized as "madness" or difficult life events as well. Most of these people do not really want to be doing what they're doing and are hoping that someone steps in and intervenes, helps them find a better way. Even if they fight or resist you. Fortunately for many, there are siblings like Josh in our story who stepped up regardless of fear! He used his unconditional love to make a positive difference in his brother's life. We hope you purchase the book- we know you will be touched! With that said, "Put a little MaxPower into your life!" With Love, Joe Mendoza
