Xmas signifies the good in people- the best in people and the love in people! It is the miracle of our humanity and most people love to be reminded of that magic in all of us which lives in us each and every day. But why does it come out in Xmas more so than in other Holidays? Or is that just an assumption? I think miracles will manifest anywhere any time we need them, but it takes the key ingredient- the key ingredient of Love.
Why do people feel that they have been given permission to express more love during Xmas? Is it because one resigns to the fact that they will have to spend forced time with loved ones so why not give in and maybe if they think that you care about them, the gift might be a bit better? Lol, I’m not saying that this is the one and only outlook on Xmas, but I have heard many people feel as if they are obligated to spend that time with family even if they wouldn’t if they could choose.
I am very sure that there are extremes, that there are many people who hold this Holiday sacred for the strong beliefs that have shaped their connection with what Xmas is all about. Do you know anyone who goes all out for Xmas and literally transforms into a new person for the month of December or even January only to return to the grumpy person they were after the Holidays?
How long has this gone on? Xmas has gone on forever and ever since the early days and I bet that people looked forward to Xmas miracles in the days before cars and or the internet. I bet communities thrived on the love of Xmas and the love of giving.
Xmas miracles can happen to everyone and many have happened for me personally, even when it wasn’t Xmas. But Xmas did make it that much more special. Have you ever thought about the miracles that happened for you around Xmas? Would you be willing to share them? Love to hear those stories...
